LGU Casiguran recognizes for its Outstanding Practices of Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) Operation during the 2022 Environment Month Celebration on June 28-29, 2022 in Widus Hotel, Clarkfield, Pampanga.

“In behalf of our ever supportive Municipal Mayor, Dr. Ricardo A. Bitong, we thank DENR EMB 3 for this Regional Award, the Outstanding Practices in MRF Operation because this award fuels our journey into Zero Waste Municipality” according to For. Jestonee C. Bitong, MENRO Casiguran.

For. Bitong also acknowledged the huge support to environmental management of Mayor Bitong during his three consecutive terms as Mayor.

“I would also like to thank my LGU and MENRO family for untiring support and to Casiguranin who sincerely abiding Municipal Ordinances and Environmental Laws” added For. Bitong.

Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) of Region III conducted an annual Ecological Solid Waste Management Summit and launched the National Plan of Action for the Prevention, Reduction and Management of Marine Litter (NPOA-ML).

Local Government Units (LGU) and other stakeholders whose environmental performance and innovation worthy of emulation were also recognized based on the set of criteria issued by EMB Central Office.
