Ang Lokal na Pamahalaan po ng Bayan ng Casiguran ay opisyal ng ilulunsad ang electronic Business Permits and Licensing System (eBPLS) sa darating na JANUARY 4, 2021 (Lunes) sa ganap na ika-isa ng hapon sa pamamagitan ng "VIRTUAL CEREMONY LAUNCHING".

Ito po ay isang program ng ating Gobyerno sa pangunguna ng Department of Information and Communications Technology kasama ng mga iba't ibang ahensya tulad ng DILG at DTI na naglalayong magbigay ng mas pinasimple at pinaepektibong serbisyo para sa lahat. Ang programa pong ito ay magbibigay daan upang tayo ay makatugon sa mga hamon na ating kinahaharap sa gitna ng pandemya. at nang makapagpatuloy tayo sa ating kabuhayan gamit ang mga makabagong pamamaraan at teknolohiya.

Kung kaya't malugod po namin inaanyayahan ang lahat na panuorin at saksihan ang "eBPLS Virtual Ceremony Launching" sa LGU Casiguran Official Facebook Page at ito rin po ai ieere sa ating Radyo Kawadi 100.7 FM Radio Station upang maabot po at mabigyang kabatiran ang lahat.

Kaalinsabay po ng anunsyong ito, ang pagbubukas ng taunang BUSINESS ONE STOP SHOP sa darating pong JANUARY 5, 2021 (MARTES) para po sa mga magrerehistro ng kanilang negosyo (NEW/RENEWAL) na kung saan ay atin na pong gagamitin ang electronic Business Permits and Licensing System sa pagpoproseso ng inyong mga Permits para sa mas mabilis, simple, tapat at sapat na serbisyo publiko para sa lahat.

LGU Casiguran's Project Monitoring Committee (PMC) conducted monitoring and inspection of the completed projects under the 20%DF CY 2019 on December 11, 2020.

The committee headed by Engr. Jaimar P. De Leon assisted by MLGOO Jesus Vizconde and all members prioritized visiting all completed road projects.

The projects were monitored to recommend corrections and provide avenue for continuous improvement of various project implementation towards development. The committee sees the need to accomplish its tasks which would be beneficial for the LGU Casiguran and its constituents. The committee also will line up inspection of other projects which includes buildings and flood control projects.

Despite the current global health crisis, the Municipal Government of Casiuran, Aurora conducted the annual celebration of Arbor Day last November 19, 2020, as declared per Municipal Ordinance No. 04, series of 2016 and in conjunction with the 60th Birhtday of our beloved Municipal Mayor Dr. Ricardo A. Bitong.

With the theme “We Heal Nature for our Future” the aforesaid activity was conducted asynchronously in consonance to the Guidelines of Modified General Community Quarantine, and made successful through the supervision of Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) with the collaborative efforts of LGU-Offices, LnB, National Agencies, Academe, Religious Groups, CSO’s, NGO’s, PO’s, groups/organizations, Inter-frat and all individuals that participates in the celebration of Arbor Day 2020.

Under the leadership of our Municipal Mayor, a total of more than 4,000 seedlings/propagules were planted in 16 planting sites, to wit; Ermita Hill, Brgy. Culat (Casapsapan Bay and Sitio Intex), Brgy. Cozo (Sitio Pasarubuy), Brgy. San Ildefonso, Brgy. Lual, Brgy. Esperanza, Brgy. Calantas (Sitio Mucdol), Brgy. Tabas (Mangga River Bank), Brgy. Marikit (Conayan), Brgy. Tinib and Calangcuasan (Sitio Disugon), Brgy. Dibacong, Brgy. Dibet, Brgy. Esteves (Sitio Buwaya and Sitio Reserva), Brgy. Bianoan, Brgy. Calabgan, and Brgy. Ditinagyan.

The Office of the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources was determined as responsible Office to conduct regular monitoring at the subject areas as part of the continuous efforts of this Municipality to maintain, protect and conserve its environment and natural resources.

In the advent of climate change threats, the Local Government Unit of Casiguran, Aurora under the leadership of Dr. Ricardo A. Bitong through the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) together with Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) conducted a participatory process relative to Updating of Forest Land Use Plan (FLUP) last November 04, 2020.

The importance of managing the forests and forestlands became paramount and the needs on updating our existing FLUP was necessary to put the resources into effective management and optimum use for the economic and environmental advancements, and for the benefit of constituents and Municipality as a whole.

The aforesaid activity was conducted via Zoom Meeting in compliance to the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) Guidelines and made successful through the collaborative efforts of each individual who partakes in the participatory process.

The Zoom Meeting mainly focused on the presentation of FLUP and gathering of valuable comments, suggestions, feedbacks, and concerns from the participants that may result socially acceptable, and ecologically feasible plan.

“Mahalaga ang FLUP sa panahon ngayon, hindi lang dapat pangalagaan ang natural resources kundi ito rin po yung magpoprotekta sa atin sa mga kalamidad. Kung hindi po natin pangangalagaan ang ating kagubatan ay tayo rin po ang mapipinsala nito”, stated by Dr. Bitong as he stressed the FLUP as the momentous approach in protecting the natural resources and the community.

The active participation of the Sangguniang Bayan-Committee on Environment and Natural Resources, Head of Municipal Offices (MLGOO, MBO, MDRRMO, MTICAO, MPDC, MAO, AND Assessor’s Office), Regional and Provincial Offices (DENR-III, ENRO, PPDO, PENRO), NGA’s, APECO, NCIP, CSO’s, Fisherfolks, and representatives from 24 Barangays of Casiguran plays a vital role in the success of the participatory process and the outcome leads on proceeding to the next step which are drafting, legitimization and approval of FLUP.
