On May 18โ21, 2026, the Local Government Unit of Casiguran, through the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), provided assistance in the conduct of a marine assessment activity within the Artificial Reef in Cozo and the Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) in Dibet and Casapsapan-Dimatbung. The activity was initiated by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Region III.

In celebration of Ocean Month 2026, a simultaneous underwater cleanup activity (SCUBAsurero) and an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign for the coastal communities of Casiguran, Aurora was conducted on May 19โ20, 2026, through the initiative of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). The Local Government Unit of Casiguran, headed by our dedicated Municipal Mayor, Hon. Roynald S. Soriano, extended full support to ensure the success of the activity by providing assistance through the MENRO and MAO.
