Last May 18–21, 2026 the LGU- MENRO Casiguran with the wholehearted support of our Municipal Mayor Roynald Soriano, the GPBK Team, composed of representatives from various offices, organizations, and agencies, united with one mission: to champion sustainable communities through environmental stewardship.

The team carried out a comprehensive assessment based on the set of criteria stated on Municipal Ordinance No. 060 series of 2021 titled “An Ordinance Institutionalizing The Annual Municipal Search For Cleanest And Greenest Barangays And Schools in the Municipality of Casiguran ”across all barangays, both Rural and Urban Category, highlighting dedication and hard work from every participant:

The first (1ST) team reviewed documents, ordinances, and resolutions related to Barangay Ecological Solid Waste Management (ESWM). They assessed budgetary requirements, enforcement mechanisms, monitoring systems, and the functionality of each Barangay Solid Waste Management Committee (BSWMC). The Second (2nd) team focused on general cleanliness and orderliness, evaluating the physical environment and conducting household interviews to ensure programs were being implemented effectively. Meanwhile, the Municipal Agriculture Office assessed space gardening initiatives, reinforcing the importance of green practices in every community.

This collective effort showed the dedication, hard work, and unity of our communities in protecting the environment. As well as identified issues and concerns of every Barangay for collaborative planning to find a solution. Together, we proved that stewardship is not just a responsibility it’s a shared victory!
