Casiguran Fire Station personnel headed by SFO4 Lauro A. Lorente, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal conducted a national program re: Conduct of Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan (OLP) at different Barangays within Casiguran on February 24, 2020 with the assistance and participation of MDRRMO Casiguran, PNP Casiguran and Barangay Officials.

The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office of Casiguran was initiated a Simultaneous River Clean-up along Casiguran River on February 28, 2020 with the cooperation of PNP Casiguran, DENR CENRO Casiguran and concerned Barangays such as Tabas, Lual, Calantas, Marikit, 01, 04, 06, and 08.
MENR Officer Jestonee C. Bitong said that “Improving the water quality will take longer time, but we are currently doing our work to save not only Casiguran River but all rivers in casiguran and for the present & future Casiguran.”
The total participants attending the activity was 155.

The Outstanding Tourism Officer in the Submission of Monthly Tour Arrivals – Destination and Accommodation for the year 2019 was awarded to the MTICAO Casiguran. The record for tourist Arrivals for the year 2019 was 20,425 for day Tours and 10,737 for guest staying overnight.
“This Award is the result of the effort of our Tourism Statistic Team headed by Charlemagne Rosaros, together with Cristine Todoc and Andrea Montes, and wouldn’t be possible without the cooperation of our accommodation establishments and destinations.
