In line with our commitment to Solid Waste Management and Local sustainability, under the leadership of Hon. Roynald S. Soriano, the Local Government Unit of Casiguran the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) conducted a Paper Charcoal Making for the Students and Teachers of Dibacong National High School on September 8, 2026.

This initiative, requested by Dibacong NHS, gave participants direct experience in converting scrap paper into eco-friendly charcoal briquettes—a low-cost alternative fuel for everyday use.

During the hands-on session, participants covered:

Waste Reduction: Practical techniques for sorting and pulping paper waste.

Hands-On Production: Step-by-step molding and pressing of eco-briquettes.

Environmental Education: Understanding how alternative fuels reduce municipal waste.

Thank you to the active students and faculty of Dibacong National High School for partnering with MENRO toward a cleaner, greener community!
