A 2-day Tuberculosis (TB) Prevention and Awareness Activity was successfully conducted through the leadership of Center for Health Development III – Health Promotion Unit in partnership with the Provincial Health Office of Aurora and the Casiguran Rural Health Unit. Community Engagement was actively participated in by RHU Casiguran staff, DOH HRH personnel, Barangay Health Workers from the 24 barangays, and community leaders, whose valuable insights and commitment contributed to meaningful discussions and strengthened community-based TB control efforts.
The activity served as an avenue for on-the-ground assessment, community engagement, and health education initiatives aimed at strengthening TB prevention and control efforts at the local level. Participants were provided with essential information on TB prevention, early detection, treatment adherence, and the importance of reducing stigma associated with the disease.
Interactive learning activities were integrated into the program to enhance participant engagement and reinforce key messages on tuberculosis prevention and control.
The PuroKalusugan followed the community engagement activities, further promoting community empowerment and encouraging greater participation in health promotion activities, particularly in seeking early consultation and timely health-seeking behavior.
