The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) conducted seaborne patrolling and the replacement of mooring buoys within the Marine Protected Areas of Barangay San Ildefonso and Barangay Ditinagyan, Casiguran, Aurora.

Under the supervision of Forester Jestonee C. Bitong and led by Mr. Edison Curitana, this activity was implemented to properly establish MPA boundaries and secure strict compliance with environmental regulations.

The team successfully installed three (3) mooring buoys at Ditinagyan MPA and two (2) mooring buoys at Pandungan MPA. During seaborne patrolling, fisherfolk were properly oriented on the prohibition of fishing within MPA boundaries. Continuous seaborne patrolling was conducted, and no unauthorized or illicit activities were observed within the municipal waters of Casiguran.

We urge everyone to strictly adhere to MPA regulations. Let us unite in preserving our marine ecosystems for generations to come.
